Mold growth is a continuing issue when it comes to human health, as well growing concern in localized wood decay, numerous ‘traditional’ molds have been found soft rotting capabilities. inhibitors on the market are often synthetic; however, fungal kingdom has wide range of more ‘natural’ options. Pigments produced by many fungi be toxic other fungi, especially fungi. This study looked at pigments Talaromyces australis (red) and Penicillium murcianum (yellow) their effect upon pigment production two species Trichoderma Penicillium. inhibited all tested 3 mg/mL higher. Results from this indicate that P. colorants potential inhibit against select ‘mold’ holds not only for preservation industry, but greater natural dye area antimicrobial textiles.
